About this site

This is an independent family-history project about the Ferneyhough, Fernyhough, Fernihough, Fearnehough and related names. It was started by Darren Ferneyhough, whose family comes from the Staffordshire Moorlands and later the Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire border.

The site draws on parish registers, civil records, census returns, and contributions from other researchers. Sources are shown wherever we can. Where we are unsure, we say so.
